Six Bio-CNG plants, one grouped carbon project
See how six compressed biogas sites across four states earn carbon credits as one project.
A grouped Bio-CNG project across four states
The project groups six Bio-CNG plants in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Punjab under one carbon project. Together they produce 110 TPD of compressed biogas, with methane content above 96%.

- Project scope110 TPD of compressed biogas (CBG) across 6 sites
- Key stakeholdersConsulting partner: Infinite Solutions. Project developer: name withheld.
- Project durationCrediting period from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2031 (7 years, renewable twice)
- Registry and methodologyVERRA-VCS & AMS-III.AO. and AMS-III.AQ.
Emissions avoided, year after year
From organic waste to compressed biogas
Follow six plants from first operation to a shared crediting period.
01 The challenge
Each Bio-CNG plant is small on its own. Registering six of them separately would repeat the same documents and monitoring six times over. Four states also bring four sets of local conditions.

02 The approach
The six plants join as one grouped project with a single crediting period, from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2031. That period can renew twice. The earliest plant started operating on November 30, 2023.
03 Delivery
The plants produce compressed biogas with methane content above 96%. Over the seven-year crediting period, the project is estimated to avoid about 754,219 tCO2e, or about 107,745 tCO2e a year.
